Duties:
The post holder is responsible for undertaking a wide range of manufacturing processes, operating to high standards of quality whilst promoting and supporting continuous improvement within the Sheet Metal Fabrication Department.
Job Description:

To fully set and operate Trumpf CNC Press Brakes

To maintain programs within the machines eliminating programming errors

To be able to forward plan and load plan for day machine production

To communicate with colleagues and internal production to ensure the smooth running of the Sheet Metal/ Fabrication Department

Operate relevant machinery and tools in a safe manner

To maintain a high standard and quality of work

To clean and maintain machines and work area
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
-
As the Press Brake Operator you must be able to read, understand and fully interpret engineering drawings.

Experience in setting and operating Trumpf / Amada / Bystronic / Edwards press brakes.

Good experience of modern manufacturing techniques.

Ability to understand CNC programmes.

Recognised served engineer apprenticeship, City and Guilds or equivalent is advantageous.

Ability to lift products up to a maximum 25kg unaided.

Able to communicate effectively face to face.
