The commissioning / software engineer’s role is to plan, organise and carry out the commissioning of plant and equipment to a high standard in the UK and overseas.  The role is approximately 60% office based and 40% site based.

Generally, projects will consist of ‘in office’ design; creating parts lists, electrical schematics, device layouts, creating and writing software and HMI programs before going to site for commissioning.

Main Requirements:

  • Qualified to minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering.

  • HNC or equivalent preferred or a very experienced control systems engineer.

  • AutoCad experience would be advantageous although not essential.

  • Experienced in PLC ladder logic programming essential.

  • PLC experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens and / or Mitsubishi.

  • Full project experience from software writing and pre-commissioning to full site installation, commissioning and hand over.

  • Create parts lists, schematics and device layouts.

  • You will be working in a hands-on environment and must be able to help test, fault find and correct equipment prior to commissioning.

  • Expected to work onsite during commissioning periods.

  • Hourly paid + OTE.

  • Basic 40 hour week, 25 days holiday + bank holidays per year.
