Main duties include preparing, building and testing electrical control panels, machine builds and carrying out site installations to a high standard.  We are looking for somebody with a flexible approach who can work in the workshop and away onsite to carry out installations when required.  

Main Requirements:

  • Hold an NVQ in Electrical Engineering
  • 17th Edition Qualification desirable but not essential
  • Build and wire control panels and carry out machine builds from containment layout to cable connections
  • Understand and work to complex electrical schematics, resolving issues and reporting them back to the design team for updating
  • Work to cable schedules
  • Have experience of working with stainless steel trunking and basket containment
  • Set-up PLC equipment and inverters from supplied set-up sheets provided by the design team
  • Assist with panel and machine build testing including carrying out I/O and motor direction checks for handover to the commissioning team
  • Carry out site installations with opportunities to work in the UK and overseas
  • Hourly paid + OTE
  • Basic 39 hour week, 25 days holidays + bank holidays per year
  • The role comes with the potential of becoming an Electrical Site Supervisor for the right candidate
